I learned a great deal by listening to other people's individual cases, and was able to integrate your well-grounded suggestions and coaching. I left with both theory, great practices and real world learning. Thanks!Karen Buehler

Most of us contribute to our problems with other people by withholding relevant information.
We have questions, reactions and information that we keep to ourselves – especially in challenging situations. The risk of sharing seems too great.

We're usually off base. The risk of not sharing is usually much greater because we create misunderstanding, mistrust, and decrease the quality of decisions. Usually people can tell when we're doing this, and they make up a story about our intent and what we're thinking. The story isn't usually very nice.

Building trust and making informed decisions requires that group members share this information. That's why I designed these ground rules – so that the group is making choices that they're committed to because everything's on the table.

Sharing relevant yet sensitive information raises dilemmas. Our approach eliminates these dilemmas by helping you to change the way you think about the information and your group's effectiveness. I'll explain how in the call, and offer you practical techniques to accomplish this.

Ground rule two - Share All Relevant Information - is the general principle. Ground rules three and four are specific, important ways of sharing relevant information. If you watch a highly effective team, the members consistently do all three. We'll cover all three together in this teleclass.

Here's What You Will Learn

  • The counterproductive approaches that most of us take to sensitive information we're concerned about sharing directly
  • The reasons why we take these approaches
  • The negative consequences of all this - for us, for our colleagues, and for organizations
  • Three specific ways of sharing this information so you can increase trust and make higher quality decisions.

What the Teleclass Will Be Like

Your stories, opportunities and challenges will be the practice field. I'll share some key concepts – mostly via advance reading – and we'll quickly move into "clinic" mode, where we work together to make the material practical and meaningful for you.
We'll do all this in a fast-paced, focused way, and the class will be highly interactive. We're limiting participation to ensure this, and the teleclass will be sixty minutes long.

There will be a short written assignment beforehand, as well as some prereading. This will help us focus, in the call, on your learning and your real situations.

If you can't attend, you can purchase a recording of the entire class. If you choose this option, you will still receive all the supporting materials and assignments.

If you are still reading, I think you'll find the teleclass quite valuable.
I invite you to participate.

When You Purchase This Teleclass, You Will Receive:

  • The advance assignment and course materials to help you get the most out of the teleclass.
