Train the Trainer
Some of our clients want to build their own capacity to deliver our workshops in their organization. They have made a long term commitment to implementing the Skilled Facilitator approach in their organization, and want to minimize the resources and time required to achieve this goal.

Certification and Licensing
We can certify you and your colleagues to deliver each of our workshops based on your performing at an acceptable level on specific criteria. This includes demonstrating an understanding of the content, communicating the content clearly to learners, and modeling the content while facilitating and/or teaching. We do not guarantee that anyone who enters the certification process will become certified, but to ensure that your organization is spending its money and time wisely, we will work with you and your colleagues to make an initial assessment about whether each of you is likely not to be certified.
Your learning and the certification process occur mostly during workshops held at your organization.
Train-the Trainer Process
You and your colleagues would go through four steps to become certified to teach our workshops:

Each of you would attend the workshops you plan on teaching. These workshops would be hosted at your organization, and would give you the basic knowledge of our approach that you'd need to teach it.

Then you would attend one or two train-the-trainer workshops, depending on your role. These will leave you with the knowledge and skill you need to begin "apprenticing" with us in a variety of roles related to the workshops. To help you learn, we record our instructors teaching in your organization; you use the tapes to prepare for your teaching.

Then we would begin working with you to deliver workshops in your organization. As we deliver workshops for your organization, you'll work with us, "shadowing" us at first, then taking more and more of a leadership role. As we do this, we'll give you feedback on how we feel you're progressing. We pay particular attention to your ability to model the Skilled Facilitator approach while you are doing this work.

When we both feel you are ready to do so, we'll certify you to deliver part or the entire workshop on your own. When you are certified to deliver a workshop, we'll license the workshop materials (i.e. workshop notebooks and presentation slides) to you that are used in that workshop. These are not available for general purchase.
We'd visit you at least once every year to recertify that you are delivering the training effectively, and we'd likely see you more frequently to offer coaching, support, and to learn with you about your successes and challenges. The recertification usually involves observing you and your colleagues during a workshop.
