Coaching

Sometimes our clients are facing individual challenges that affect their performance. They have a troubling relationship with a boss or a peer, they are responsible for facilitating a high-stakes meeting, or they feel like they're dealing with the same costly problem – over, and over, and over. Some of them are simply committed to getting better results in their work. Whatever the difficulty or opportunity, they sometimes find that we can help them the most through a one-on-one or group coaching relationship.

We help our coaching clients achieve success – sometimes success they didn't think possible. If you work with us in a coaching capacity, you can expect the same: improved working relationships (often with those people that you find really frustrating, and who you think will never change), solutions to long-standing problems, and more satisfaction from work. One of the key ways that we help you achieve these results is by focusing on your responses to situations that are challenging for you – we help you learn more productive responses that reduce stress, increase results, and improve your effectiveness. We coach individuals and groups.

One-on-one Coaching
If you choose to work with us in a one-on-one capacity, you can expect all these results on an accelerated timeline, because we are focused on your hopes and concerns, and no one else's.

You and your coach will jointly determine what the coaching relationship will look like. After you decide to work with us in a coaching relationship, we will have an initial meeting with you to determine your objectives and build an agreement for how to work together. This agreement will include a set of ground rules for how we'll work together, your goals, and the logistics of our relationship. We will share ground rules with you that we think will make the relationship valuable, and we'll solicit your input on those. After we jointly develop this agreement, we'll immediately begin working with you to achieve your goals.

Beyond this, the structure of the one-on-one relationship is up to you and your coach. Some of our clients meet with their coach every other week, some meet monthly, and others meet just once. Some of our clients work with us via the phone; others work with us in person. You can make these determinations depending on what works for you.

Group Coaching
If you choose to work with us in a group coaching capacity, you can expect powerful results at a lower cost. You'll also have the benefit of other people's perspectives who are dealing with similar issues.

If you choose to work with us in a group coaching setting, we use the same initial process as in one-on one coaching, except that you and your co-participants will all be involved.

To accommodate everyone's interests and give each of you the most value, your group coaching sessions will be somewhat more structured in advance; meetings will occur regularly, and the format and timing will be predetermined. Otherwise, the direction of your group will be up to you, your colleagues and your coach.

If you are interested in learning more about our coaching work, or think our coaching services might be helpful for you, your group, your community or your organization, we'd like you to contact us. We'd like the opportunity to discover whether or not we can help you achieve success you didn't think possible.
